Privacy Policy
Unlike the big guys, Wheels doesn’t collect and sell your personal information to make money. It’s a paid-for-by-skaters, built-for-skaters app, and that’s how it stays.
Here’s exactly what that means in practice.
What Wheels collects
Nothing personally identifiable. Wheels does not collect your name, email address, location history, or any other personal data.
Beyond the anonymised crash diagnostics that Apple may share with developers — subject to your own device privacy settings — Wheels collects no analytics, no usage data, and no telemetry of any kind. I genuinely don’t know who you are, and I don’t need to.
Your ride data
Every route, speed reading, board detail, and stat you see in the app lives on your device, stored locally using Apple’s on-device storage. None of it is ever sent to a server I operate, and I have no way to access it.
If you have iCloud Backup enabled, Apple may back up your app data as part of your normal iCloud backup. That’s governed by Apple’s own privacy policy, not this one.
Location
Wheels asks for location access only while you’re actively recording a ride. The moment you end a session, location access stops. Your route data is processed on-device and never transmitted anywhere.
Third parties
There are no third-party advertising SDKs, analytics tools, or data brokers in Wheels. No tracking pixels, no fingerprinting, nothing sold to anyone — ever.
Children
Wheels isn’t directed at children under 13 and doesn’t knowingly collect information from them.
Changes
If this policy ever changes in a meaningful way, the date below will be updated and the change will be noted in the App Store release notes.
